The finished lipsync. I swiped the clip from Shaun of the Dead, one of my favorite movies. It was a little bit too ambitious for me to finish with ease like I was hoping. Also, I was ever so slightly wrong about this being the last project. There is one more, and THAT is the scene to end all scenes!

Main Characters Page of the Pitch Bible Completed!

The work for the Environments and Characters pitch bible project is well under way. The first "official" page has been finished, the main characters page. I'm going to throw the first Lucy character sheet out the window and I'm going to turn Karen's description sheet into a concept piece. There is still so much to do!!! This project makes me so excited, I finally get to put this beloved story of mine into a project.

Alacard Doesn't Sparkle
I'm not much of a Twilight fan, so the huge uproar of excitement to see the upcoming New Moon movie I can't help but find to be silly, especially since the last movie was a popular flop. I actually spent some free time this week watching a short vampire series called Hellsing and it restored my faith in how vampires should be portrayed.

Here is a little fan sketch of Alacard,
one of the most badass vampires that hit the small screen.
Notice: he does not sparkle.

Lipsyncing in 3D
It has begun. We are now working towards our final project in Computer Character Animation which is supposed to wrap everything we've learned into one big 3D burrito of skills. The entire scene has to be 11 seconds long and includes lipsync'd dialogue from a non-animated source. The first step is to just animate the lips and mouth. Head bobs, facial expressions, and body movement will come later.

Enviosity Production Blog Launch!
That's right, folks. The film has a blog of it's own now. I won't be posting too much about it here on Rabbit Gear so if you want to see how it's coming along, visit http://enviosityfilm.blogspot.com or click on the big green button on the right side of the screen. Thanks everyone and feel free to follow!

Karen Character Sheet

This took me almost no time at all and I like it 10x more than the ones I did for the other characters which took forever somehow. I'm trying to rethink video game characters as I work on this project. I don't want all the characters to all the same formula with the looks and stats mixed around. I want them to each have their own feel. Karen here isn't your "it's butt-whoopin' time!" power pack character. When you're Karen, you need to become a critical and calculating problem solver.
Hmmm.....for some reason, this picture looked a little sharper the last time I tried loading it.
